OpenCitizenStack is an e-participation stack for exchanging ideas/issues in a certain community, making benefit from the crowds on the internet to collect, filter and categorize citizens' issues/suggestions, and to rank citizens/users according to their contribution.
Issues & Community
Community members can raise, edit, discuss and vote issues, and of course suggest solutions for them. They can also equipe issues with photos, tags, map markers, and more. An issue is finally confirmed as solved only if the community states it really is! OCS also provides good user experience in regards of notifications, trust, and intercommunication.
Privileges & Moderation
OCS is designed to be community moderated and driven. Basically there are five user roles based on their privileges: visitors, citizens, domain experts, gov/org entities, and admins. New roles can be created easily based on the user rank, which by turn depends on how much the user is active and helpful to the community.
Browsing & Categorizing
OCS has multiple ways in which you can browse issues! You can choose lists view to browse issues summaries based on issues time period, tag, activity, and votes. The main page views the most trending tags with their top issue, with a tagcloud that provides a nice, visual representation of the community interests. Another useful way to view issues is the map browser!
